What is Swarna Prashana (Suvarna Prashana)?
Swarna Prashana (Suvarna Prashana) also known as Swarna Bindu prashan is an unique Ayurvedic preparation that is known to enhance the immune power of the human body. Swarna means gold and Prashana refers to the act of consuming. The act of consuming noble metal gold“Swarna Prashana (Suvarna Prashana)” is considered as one of the 16 essential Sanskars (regimens) described for improving overall health in children. According to Ayurveda, our body needs to get the right nourishment to support proper physical and mental development that can sustain till the old age. Swarna Prashan is therefore recommended to be taken immediately after birth and continued till the age of 16 years. Swarna Prashana (Suvarna Prashana) is made using swarna bhasma (gold ash) mixed with honey and cow ghee containing herbal extracts like Vacha, Brahmi, shankupushpi, all of which show strong immune boosting properties.
Swarna Bhasma Uses:
It is a natural aphrodisiac, cardiac tonic, immune booster and heavy to digest.

This is specially prescribed in hemiplegia and complete paralysis.
In olden days, when there was poisoning, first vomiting and purgation were induced to remove remnant poison in the gut. Then, to cleanse the heart, Tamra bhasma was administered to the patient. After that, Swarna bhasma is administered for a long period of time. By such Swarna administration for a long time, the body becomes as pure as Gold. The term used for this is ‘Hemapanga’.
